OBJECTIVES
To create an online brokerage account opening system through website that can help complete the process within the same day. To design a simple user journey for opening an account on the website and create back-end dashboard to handle registering customers.
CHALLENGES
Complicated process: Brokerage account opening entails a long process and mechanism. Our team had to translate this arduous process into an effective and intuitive UX and UI website.
3rd Party Data Integration: Brokerage account opening requires several 3rd party verifications, such as Anti Money Laundering verification, citizenship verification, and bank verification.
On-Premise Online Video Call System: We had to develop an on-premise online video call system operated independently on client’s network or server for bank verification.
SOLUTIONS
UX/UI Design: We mapped the account opening process and broke it down into four steps. We built a login system that allows customers to complete the form immediately or save it to continue later.
Integration with 3rd party: We consume API from 3rd parties to integrate the online verification, including anti money laundering verification, citizenship verification, and bank verification for Client Fund Account opening.
On-Premise Online Video Call System: We built an online video call system to immediately verify prospective customers using WebRTC and websocket technology.
Web Development: We developed an easy-to-use admin panel dashboard for easier management by Customer Service Officers with no IT background. This was our way to make sure that account opening would be handled swiftly and simply. We also included a feature to enable printing of the registration form with customer’s electronic signature on it, in pdf format. Our solutions have been well implemented by our client. As a result, it has become the first securities firm to have an online platform for new account opening.
